Welcome! I am a Memphis-area photographer specializing in weddings and family
portraiture. My style is a combination of photojournalism and traditional
photography. While the majority of my photography is of weddings, I do family,
travel, and animal photography as well.
My dad always had a camera, and he
encouraged me to take pictures as well. In college I started shooting private
events and began to dabble in weddings. For the past six years I’ve been
shooting weddings, families, and pets, and of course I take my camera anywhere
we travel. My wife and I joke that we have the most photographed pets in
America.
On the technical side, I use a Nikon D700 and a variety of lenses.
I have a selection of 2.8 and higher aperture lenses that allow me to have a
smaller depth of field, making the subjects truly “pop” in pictures.
My
“day job” is teaching high school Math, and in my free time, I love throwing
the frisbee with my dog, gardening, and travel.
